Here are some frequently asked questions with answers that may help you out:

Bullnose or tumbled?
Our travertine pavers / tiles are standard with an appealing tumbled and unfilled finish. This creates a softer, smoother texture and generates a rustic contemporary appearance highlighting the natural spots and grooves perfect for pool copings, surrounds and entertaining areas.
Bullnosing can be arranged for those wishing to create an understated classical style.

Should we seal our travertine
Yes travertine pool coping recommends that you use a penetrative sealer. This will bring out the colours and protect from your investment from rust stains, wine stains, tree sap and Bbq mishaps.

Why is pitting or holes necessary
Simply it adds to your slip resistance. Honed and filled or premium travertine is similar to an ice skating rink when wet. Perfect for a bathroom but around a pool is Highly impractical. Your tradesmen and all swimming pool companies fill the holes with the same grout as is installed between tiles. Adding to the consistency of the finish whilst retaining the slip resistance.
